Anyone set with me this weekend? Set 28 October - Hatching 18 November

the experimental ones were from my backyard. They were though to be fertilized from our Pheasant. Out of 8 that I cracked open, 1 had a bullseye... all-in-all I think it was safe to say that they were never viable in the first place.

I think it's just the two EE eggs I have that are growing. I haven't candled what the broody has but I plan to tonight. It's amazing! Today should be day 5/6 already and you can see the changes just from yesterday.

The 2 eggs under broody are growing also! Should I leave them with her and bring them in to hatch or should I take the eggs in here and set them under her on day 18 to let her hatch and then she'll take care of them? Decisions, decisions..... I know she'd love them if I let her hatch all of them and then they won't be strangers to each other when they are older, especially since I'll most likely keep them or some.

I started 2 Easter eggers, 2 rir, and 6 new hampshires this morning. I wasn't planning on incubating in the winter but one of the new hampshires were sitting on them and they were nice and toasty so I couldn't resist. Now I have to figure out what I'm going to do with them all winter:)

dang it, dang it, dang it!!!

I'm gone all day on Monday's (from 6am - 10pm) and my family is in charge of turning the eggs for me. Unfortunately, they don't regularly check the temperature. We went from having 60 degree temps yesterday to snowing today so the ambient temperature has varied greatly. I got home tonight and saw that the temps in the incubator were at 94*. I'm freaking out because i don't know how long they were there or if any are still alive. Instead of investigating now I turned up the temps and will wait for the morning. My first set in in their last week (due to hatch this weekend) and the second set is just 3 or 4 days behind them. What can I look for? It's been difficult seeing embryo movement because they are running out of space. Are my chances still ok? or is it hard to say?

I think you'll be fine - I had a temperature accident much worse than yours around day 13 (temps were low for almost 24 hours) - I think I might have lost two of them, so I'm still hoping for a 4 of 7 hatch rate - I would have just quit but the rest appear to still be developing just fine. Just hope I don't end up with any birth defects, but I guess we'll see - good research if nothing else. I already have eggs lining up to do a quick turnaround and start again Sunday night.
