where did you put the fan at when it was in the box?

at the top. I read on here to put it at the top blowing downward.

I think you could reorganize your mesh and not have that problem. it could just be how the picture looks, but it seems like the mesh takes up a majority of the area. If you could work it to just focus on keeping then newly hatched birds AWAY from the bulb, I think you'd have room for incubating, hatching and a fan.

Well im hatching on Nov 22 is that too far out of this thread?

I have Lavender EEs in the bator. I candled last night got my dates mixed up, think all but 2 of 15 looked good for so early.
Will candle day 7 or 10 again.

I agree. The thing is that I had the eggs in the bator for 2 days before I was attaching the fan. I should have done that first but I the type of person that seems to always do things "a**-backwards", so to speak, lol.

I am going to find one of those small flashlights today for better candling also. Question: Is the day I set day 1 or is 24 hours after I set day 1?

my first set is on day 11, my second set is on day 7... guess it's time to start making my hatching box!

Day 1 is the day after set. FOR SURE.....unless.... you set late at night then it might be the next day.Im trying to figure that one out myself this time as i set really late at night ...but i guess they will hatch someplace in the next day or so! LOL
