The pink things are" friend " chick dolls but he doesnt seem to care about them.Wonder why? LOL

Thanks Roxanne. I really thought she was going to make it and then last night she took a turn for the worse and died this morning. The others are all doing GREAT!!! Even the one with spraddle leg is doing ok. I have 3 eggs left but my gut is telling me they are not going to hatch. I will pull them on Friday morning and clean out the bator for my new eggs.

I've got 11 eggs waiting to pip on Thursday.
And this morning when I checked them, I had one with a star crack already!
Yippee!!

I was so worried because this last batch had really small (like the size of day 7) air cells on day 16,
and now we are on day 19 and I candled, and they are MUCH improved!!
SO Happy!!
I thought I was going to have a pile of drowned chicks.

But everyone is active and happy and I think it might actually be time to add a wet sponge after trying desperately to dry everyone out over the last 3 days.

Wish me luck on this next batch!

I just rearranged some eggs and saw that the 4 duck eggs I have in there are starting to pip!?! Wow!! Didn't expect those guys until Friday or Saturday.

we are up to 2 one more has pipped the last i think is a dud the little yellow one was the one that pipped 36 hours ago i had to zip him then left him for abit become clear that he was stuck his little wing was dried to his head and the egg so he would of died if i didnt help him he looks worn out but is holding his head up now after resting for over a hour .. now im waiting on the pipped one to zip lol so my worries is not over yet lol

It figures!!! No sooner do I manage to post the latest pics than I go out again and find MORE babies!!!!!! Two more Silkie babies are out! And I lured Summer off he nest a bit by moving the food temptingly close; the last egg is zipping! The crack runs about 1/3 of the shell circumference!
