Anyone setting eggs starting July 15 -July 22?

I'll be setting 3 dozen this evening. One dozen Buff Orp eggs I bought from Hinkjc and 2 dozen from my Speckled Sussex roosters over SS and Lavender Orpington hens just for fun.

I haven't broke out the incubator in over a year but last time, when I hatched out a couple dozen Lav Orps, I only had one male! I'm hoping the odds are against that this time because I really want a big, fluffy Buff Orp rooster.

WHOOHOO Here i go...the first batch of eggs came today and are resting .BBS Orps.

so will be due August 7th,.
3 more batches due to be delivered this week Yep BAD addict..
Most i would think Wed or Thursday.

I am setting 3 Mottled Cochin Bantam eggs and 5 Cochin/Silkie cross eggs.

my lavender ameraucana eggs just got here. my White ameraucana eggs might be here at the end of the week.

and i havn't heard when my bbs Ameraucana eggs will or when they went out yet..

This is great... a nice group to watch
.I just found out last night i guess i ordered even more eggs than i remembered
I have 50 total going to set....WOW!i have my turner going already and am a little concerned it seems to be tilting really far to the one side No eggs in it yet .Cant find my directions for it anyplace May have pitched them as what can happen with a turner?(Right...this can!)
Also
Some will be in another bator with no turner. That will be new for me. Hand turning.
Depending on how many extras i get just a few should be in there. 4 or 6 maybe.
My new batroe willprobabl ybe later thanthe eggs as its economy shipping so might have to take out the turner and put the eggs all laying down in there until the new bator comes.then set them standing up .Wonder how that effects them standing up and laying at first. hum
Anybody on here have a lot of hatch experience?.May have to start a thread.

Was the one roo that hatched not a good one?
I would LOVE a hatch like that.... i think, but i see if you need a nice roo.... it wouldnt be ideal to get none to choose from.
SS over LO ...Wow can you get a speckled lavender then? That would be novel.This gene thing on chickens is different as i found out that often the color only comes thru on the head not the whole chicken which is odd to me well mybe on the tail and wings too but not solid often .. or so i understand but i am really new to reading about genes.

I have one shpment of LO's i am setting today ... 2 shipments that went out now , Lavender Orps, Buff Brahmas,Barred Rock and Americaunas coming i imagine Thursday maybe Friday and another shipment of LO's Friday probably so we should be setting pretty close to the same time.Early this week and late both..

Hi all! This will be my second attempt to set eggs. I gave 14 to my broody back on the 7th but when I candled this weekend they were all rotten. So, I am hitting the restart button. A fellow BYCer is selling me some hatching eggs. I pick them up tonight. . Mixed babies, RIRxorphington and RIRxleghorns. Should be some awesome layers.
