You can call me Kristi if you want. I had it in my siggy, but my siggy kept getting longer with all the chickens I keep aquiring...lol.
About lockdown...I had the same question. I have been doing mine just sometime on day 18. Actually, my last hatch, lockdown really wasnt lockdown. I opened the bator so much to spritz water, rewet sponges, etc....
I know I know....most ppl here would
me for that. BUT my hatch rate went up considerably doing it that way. So Im gonna do it that way again.
When I didnt open it at all, I got 0/4, and 1/9 hatch. I like my 5/6 hatch rate better!
My 'pseudo lockdown' is Wed too. Hope my others hatch day 21 like they are supposed to! Cause day 22 is lockdown for the others.
Speaking of the last hatch, I opened up the egg that didnt hatch. The chick was just as formed as the hatchlings, but its head was still down at the little end. Could it not turn? Or did it not turn in time and just died?
Your trip sounds fun! Wish I had gone!! Since your kids are just getting up at 11, are they homeschooled or is it spring break? (We homeschool)
