Anyone setting eggs tomorrow (13th March, EDD Apr 3rd)

How exciting! I have a small (only 8) eggs that have been sitting under silkie hens (a couple hens were sharing the responsibility). This is day 22. Two hatched yesterday. Julie--or anyone know if the rest are duds? Do they always come within around the same time, or could I hopefully get some more over the next couple of days? I think my setter(s) were consistent sitting on the eggs. Haven't seen anymore eggs with little holes starting.

Notta nothing going on here

Congrats to your girls on their laying efforts...
I'm proud of my duck at the moment - she has laid 14 days in a row...rare for a duck

Nothing here but an occasional wiggle if I sob at them to move. Hoping their saving their energy for pipping...
Temp was up to 102.7 when I came home from getting groceries. After days of daytime temps from 32 to high 40s its suddenly shot up to 78 today, so I think the increase in house warmth did it.

Will check in later for news...

Mine are due for lock down Sat mine got hot last night too 102 for a little bit but I took mine out of the insulation that I've been needing to hold the temp and it's at 99.4 somewhere on here I think I read that people think the chicks generate heat the last week I'm thinking that might be true I never had any fluctuations until last night it's been right at 99.3 to 100 so I hope it didn't hurt anything

We have a 2nd pip!

AND even more exciting, our Muscovy lady finally went broody!!!

We've been letting her keep her eggs and she had 10 in there 3 days ago. DD just went out and said she was all fluffed up on the nest and was not happy when DD looked in on her!! I gather she is 2 days into it since we haven't let them free range the last 2 days. 3 days ago we did and she was out and about. This is our first time with ducks, as we adopted this pair last fall. This is their 2nd laying season. They had 2 successful clutches last spring with 100% fertility. I guess we'll find out how it all works come early May!

I heard 24 hours is fine, but if its not here in the morning maybe maybe post to ask how to help...I don't know with a broody...maybe humidity is lower because she's not a duck?

So, these chicks...?
Are they actully supposed to arrive ON day 21
OR
AFTER 21 days of incubation are complete so actually on the 22nd day...?????????

How long do they rock before pipping?
How long from pip to zip?
How long from zip to out? and how long to fluff up?
