Anyone Setting Eggs Tonight 3/31/2011 - Come join me if you like!

I think its just the digital Hygrometer is off. I put my regular one in and it jumped to 80% so I took out the maxi pads and will just have to wait for it to do down naturally I guess. I was going to suck some how with a straw but I dyed the water with blue food coloring.

I am new but I believe that high of humidity can cause a lot of problems also. I am pretty sure that is what killed my last hatch only one out of 8 made it out of lock down

I just went in to lockdown. I candled but I don't see any movement in there. Is this normal? or should I see movement? I left them all in there anyway but I would like some feedback.

They might not have any room left inside, LOL, that's what I have read at least...i am new to this but I have read that a lot....Good Luck!

I set 22 eggs in my GE Electric Skillet, Pan-O-Bator. My last hatch was over 90% in this homemade delight!

Started lockdown at 7Pm adjusting humidity up now
I candled briefly just to check air sack position- had to remove one egg that had stoped developing. I had candled only once at 10 days and this one was iffy then. so going in I have 9 out of 17 eggs that were shipped from Maryland to Oregon. Now its just wait and see!

Okay, we have entered lockdown

.
We started with 41 eggs and entered lockdown with 22 but that isn't a surprise since I was waiting on an incubator that never came and had to run to TSC and purchase a LG so some of the eggs weren't the freshest and ontop of that we had a poweroutage on day 15. I think the ones that hatch ought to be tough litter buggers....lol.

5 - blood rings
6 - quiters
8 - infertile

There were a couple that were iffy so I left them in the bator.

Just had the two pippers hatch a couple of hours ago. I have five left due to hatch out tomorrow. I thought I had 22 eggs in the bator but it's actually 21. So now 16 have hatched. I cannot believe I only got 4 quail out of 30 eggs shipped

ten were not even fertile or had no air sacks after shipping. 2 were cracked. 1 hatched mostly out and died, 1 hatched with bum legs and died, two pipped and never got out, the rest are still in the bator but I know there won't be more to hatch now.
