I am soooooo upset with MurrayMcmurry and will NEVER order chicks from them again. I will only use Meyer hatchery from now on. Cute pics. I love seeing little chicks!

I've used Meyer in the past and really liked them, but DD really wanted Silver Grey Dorkings for 4-H this year and we were told by a Dorking expert that McMurray had the best quality Dorkings of all the hatcheries. Happily we had a great experience, although I know others have not. Guess that's why it's better to hatch if you can!

I haven't been posting on here for a while but have read all the posts. I've been too busy to get on the computer. Good luck with everyone's hatches.
I am on day 17 and going to lock down tonight because it is Easter break for us and we are going to the snow tomorrow. I will have to instruct hubby what to do, ie check the humidity and temp, what to do if the humidity goes down etc...
I haven't candled in a while. Will tonight and let you know the score. Last time I candled I had 9 yes' and 4 maybes.

What are the pros and cons to putting egg cartons in? Who is and who isn't?

I have a question...at lockdown tonight I am going to candle. I have 4 I don't knows. What should I see to keep them in the bator? Should I see movement and if not, should I throw them out? Could they explode in the bator?
