Anyone Setting Eggs Tonight 3/31/2011 - Come join me if you like!

From what I am told, It really takes a long time for eggs to lose temps thru there shells and also get over heated as well. I think with only 20 mins, You will be just fine. That is not enough time for them to have lost heat. I am sure hens have spent 10 mins off a nest before.

I've decided to go into lockdown tonight (day 17). They are bantams, which are known to hatch early. That way I don't have to worry about them pipping early before I get them into lockdown. Even if they dont hatch early, one day of not turning won't hurt them at this point in development.

Sending happy hatching thoughts your way Jessica....I will be going into lockdown when the child goes to bed, LOL....Do I get humidity up before taking them off turner, or doesn't it matter?

Thanks:) Hope everything goes great for u! I didnt raise the humidity of mine since its been pretty hight throughout the incubation. I read that this is why my air sacs are smaller. I just made sure all the wells were full of water, and closed the lid.
