I always used to use Craigslist and Yahoogroups, but now feel a little unsettled. Does anyone else feel the same way?

hey I make easily 200 off craigslist a week and since I'm not offering "that" service I think I'm okay. My husband said " That he is afraid that someone might try and touch him on craigslist but maybe just maybe he'll like it." He's such a kidder...lol.

My daughter is just about ready to complete massage school. Last fall she told me that some MTs go on-call to hotels, that it was a common practice.

I freaked out! I've tried "gently" to convince her to go a different direction. She started leaning toward working in a VA hospital, The Craigslist incident kind of confirmed her choices,

. I'm just sorry for the young lady who lost her life. But maybe her sacrifice may save others, including my daughter.
Otherwise, I just started listing on crigslist to help sell off my parents household items from their estate. And I just bought some new chickies. Meeting a guy in the Southern States parking lot in broad daylight wasn't scarry.

Just a little reminder to those who sell stuff and meet in a public location. Do NOT got straight home. Go shopping afterward, go park at the police station (kinda kidding about that one), etc. People HAVE been followed home and killed. Nope, not the least bit paranoid, just cautious because there are some CRAZY people out there these days.

I so agree with you! I had done a post here a while ago re: CL and a woman that was killed.
Its tragic that the world has come to these ways. I wish I could ask some of these mean and irrational people that do these types of crimes or even in gangs, "what if that was your mother? Brother? Father? sister?" What is it that would make these people think beyond "mine" and "you owe me".

Granted its not wise to bring people to your home, or even give out personal information to "each other". We do, and so far, we are ok, but we could all be in trouble someday being careless.

The Fiancee must be horrified, family and friends. None of its good and sorry to hear of such hellacious events happening. Be careful and take care, someone could come back for your children. Now that makes us take a step back, doesn't it!

Yes, definitely meet in a public place. And not going directly home is great advice.
I buy and sell some on craigslist and havent had any problems.Yet, that is.
