Anyone tried Purina’s new high protein feed?

I don't get why so many people even care who makes what or who owns who. The real proof is in the pudding. If the feed has the right nutritional requirements, is fresh, looks and smells good and the birds do well on it who cares what name is written on the bag. Unless you want to support local mills and farmers, that I understand. Chances are most of the big feed companies buy their ingredients from the same or very similar sources anyway.

Oh I don't really care, but some random trivia-craving corner of my brain likes to know!
I only posted the companies and brand ownership to make sure that the accurate facts were out there as there had been some incorrect information and speculation - not just on this thread but on some others too.

Oh yeah, sorry, that's not what I meant at all. I find that part very interesting as well. I was referring to all the I'm not buying this or that brand because it's produced by this or that company, who is owned by some other company. It seems silly to me to limit your feed choices based on such things.

white strip, where the date will be printed. It will first have two digits 22 or 23 for the year, and then a number. Today, Jan 21 would be day 21. (Thus 23021). End of December would be day 365. (22365)
