Anyone tried Purina’s new high protein feed?

I won't buy Purina at all anymore, their feed went down hill at the end of the summer, first bugs, then really stale and then slightly stale. Feed store exchanged the bug ridden one, and the really stale one, but they were still a little stale.

I use Purina 20% Flock Raiser crumbles, with oyster shells on the side in a small feeder. For one coop anyways.

I wouldn't necessarily put that on Purina - more on the supply chain after it leaves the mill.

Its a ripoff. When I contacted Purina to find out how much of the 19% was protein from BSFL they told me it was proprietary information. If you look on the ingredients list its below calcium. So almost nothing. Its all plant proteins. If a fly lands on the bag its good enough for Purina to add to the protein content.

We had the same conversation when Purina put out there first free-range feed with BSFL. I am not a fan of Purina, I think they are overpriced, but I applaud them for starting to add BSFL to their feed. Most feeds are !00% vegetarian. I think most people would look at this feed for the higher protein for their layer flock. I would buy it depending on the price. Hardly a ripoff simply because they won't reveal their proprietary info.
