Anyone Try To Enter The Pillsbury Bake-Off?

Don't forget while you are trying to create so much stuff... here are some great coupons to use so you save a few bucks working on this!

Also, I've had the idea to have a tasting party with my recipes... I want honest opinions, and reviews. I need quite a few people, so what better then a super bowl party tasting. I'll put samples of my creations out for people to try while watching the game, and then pass out little cards to get feed back once they're done eating.

Maybe you could all have something like a dinner party of an afternoon bunch with friends to get them to taste test for you. Maybe they could tell you if something is missing, and want that something could be?!

I've got 1 very simple appetizer recipe done (just need to figure out the exact measurements) and going to be working on a quiche for the Breakfast and Brunch catagory this weekend.
I made a dessert pie that I love, just haven't decided if it's simple enough for the contest or how I could work out a couple steps and without loosing it's "element."

I read how big 'healthy' and quick are going to be in the big up coming bake off, so I did do a dinner the other night that was very 'light'. I also did another recipe that would have been 'full fat' and chose all their light options to make it a little healthier. I wonder if they would appreciate that?

Thanks for coming over... I think if more people are posting here that they are trying things, more people will get interested.

If anyone has problems and needs to ask questions, without sharing the recipe of course, I'm sure we'd all help one another! I would love to see some of us going!

I actually can't come up with one appetizer!? I think about it, lose thought, come up with something else. I'm such a 'sweet' person that I also think dessert or brunch.

The idea I came up with the appitizer is a lot like the quiche... just a different time of day lol. So I guess it's kind of a theme

I'm more of a sweet-tooth kinda gal and make pies, mostly fruit, out the wazoo... biggest problem though is the crust as in I always make my own.

I do have a problem with the premade crusts: When I bake a shell, for say a pudding pie, the sides of the crust always slide down the the pie pan.

I've tried just placing it in there and pinching the edges. I've also tried rolling it outh thinner first. And I always prick the crust so it doesn't bubble. Any tips?

Hmmm... I've never had that issue... but I do make my own crust now and prefer it to taste 1000 : 1!

I am working on yet another recipe. So far I have 3 and need this 4th to come out. I've only submitted 2 thus far, because #3 didn't work out so well on the second bake. We're going to try for our third bake this thursday night.

P.s.- Superbowl was the PERFECT taste testing situation.... the kids killed the snack platters.

There is no limit to the number of recipes!

You have requirements to follow though, so read the list and use the required ingredients as well as the required 'amounts' for them to qualify.

Let me know if you have any questions on where to find stuff on the site about rules, how to's and stuff.

I hope you get in a lot!!!

Hope you do well too!
