Quailady! Do you have pics of the pip? I am on pins and needles here. My lone viable egg pipped the inner membrane during the night. The sound when tapped is definitely different this morning. It sounds hollow.

At 2:30 pm I have an emu! This baby just blew out of the shell! He was too quick to videotape! I have photos (still working in the barn) and will post but OMG Gertie is here!!!!

Learned today from a breeder in CA that the oozing occurs when the egg is bad and actually rotting inside the shell. The pressure from the rotting pushes the white through the egg shell pours (or is it pores?). He told me to get rid of the egg ASAP. Also said the seller should send me a new egg to replace the bad one she sent but I have not heard back from the seller yet
