I havent noticed wiggling, but i havent looked at them for more than a minute or 2, Ive been watching my chicken and ducks hatching. When I get home tonite I'll watch them for a while and see if they wiggle, after I check to see how many ducks have hatched, that is.

have they wiggled?.. or just rolled?

My daughter keeps asking me if the "moon" egg has hatched. I have to keep telling her it is an Emu egg and it still has a long time before it is ready if it does hatch.

lol.. i do have a few "moon eggs"... eggs that are due to hatch by the moon... now it all depends on if the chicks decide to hatch out on time or not (assuming the eggs are even fertile)

Oh my congrats! That is so exciting! Where is the egg from? I don't know what I'd do if one of my eggs started to wiggle, you must be so excited...I hope the lil chick makes it!

they are from Heston, Kansas.. still a bit early to tell if any of the others will wiggle or not.. and one of the two seems to have more wiggle than the other

I told my husband.. he got excited about it.. then I had to caution him that just cause they wiggle doesn't mean they will make it to hatch.. still plenty of things can go wrong and there's still plenty of time for any bacteria that got into the eggs to do some damage.. but for now at least we know that 2 are alive

Just for chicks and giggles I wil join in on this now that my bird has given up his egg stash. The only difference is that I will let nature run it .I have 6 eggs at this moment he may accept a few more .I will update as required. He started setting today or last night probably brought on by the freeze last night.
Egg #3 651G
Egg #4 631G
Egg #5 651G
Egg #6 637G
Egg #7 642G
Egg #8 657G
Humidity is ??? Temperature is ???
I will try to post a weight every sunday.
and if your wondering about #1 & #2 they were collected on 1/20 and 1/23 and were not incubated .
#1 563G now 556G
#2 620G now 613G
These are just at room temp but too old to try to hatch now.

Ok I lost an egg. Egg #1 still had an odor so I gently jiggled it by my ear and it sounded like a water balloon. I broke it open and it was a scrambled egg and stunk

I just cracked open a stinker. It looks like it was never fertilized, just nasty, rotten yolky stuff....and did I mention it stunk? LOL

I sat 4 more today so I have a total of 12 now.
