I am IN and a NERVOUS wreck - i will either die of nerves or hatch some lil fuzzies! I had the bator perfect temp and humidity - put the eggs in and all went haywire - like i had to start over with temp! But all is well - turned this morning.

Hi,
LOL, I set 34 eggs on Valentines Day then saw this thread and wondered if I can join.

All my eggs are a barnyard mix. I have 4 roosters (1 Splash Polish Crested, 1 Mille Fleur D'uccle, 1 White Silkie, and 1 Easter Egger).

I have 9 hens but only 7 of them are laying (3 Buff Orpingtons, 1 Easter Egger, 1 White Silkie, 1 Black Silkie, and 1 Mille Fleur D'uccle).

2 (1 Splash Silkie and 1 Partridge Silkie)are busying raising babies they hatched out 3 weeks ago.

I started collecting eggs a week ago yesterday. I am using a used Hovabator Genesis 1588 that I won on an auction here.

I don't know if it will hatch well so I am using these eggs as a test hatch.

I hope it does well because I ordered 2 dozen silkie eggs, 8 BLRW eggs, and 2 FBCM, and BlueCM eggs to be shipped 3/14.

I only have time to do one test hatch before the new eggs come. So

Hi,I have three set dates Feb,12,13,14th.I think I can candle the first lot on the weekend. They are brown eggs so that will be a challenge. They are just regular eggs from RIR and Austrolorp....but the roo has a bit more RIR in him,so I thought that would be a good mix.
Everything is going fine,I did have a little trouble with the temp at first but with an adjustment it is perfect now.....I have been told that I'm a bit obsessive

when it comes to humidity and the temp. So,in total I have 58 eggs in the incubator.

Here's a couple pictures I thought I would share with you.

This is Rusty and his gals.

Does anyone NOT candle their eggs and jsut let them go?
All is well with my little ones - knock on wood - it is just a waiting game i thought i was prepared to wait - but now? not so sure!!! LOL

I started a hatch Sunday night at 7:00PM. I will be along for the ride. I have 27 chicken eggs in at the present and may start 12 to 14 more this Sunday.
