Wouldn't that technically mean that there were more turkeys in the world?
I mean, yeah, they're being raised for meat, so they aren't part of the wild population, but there's lots more of 'em.

We saw a big flock of wild turkeys in our yard when we were coming back from church. Must've been fifteen or twenty, at least. Some of them took flight to avoid the car.
Sure freaked the chickens and guineas out.
