Anyone want to hatch with me? - Went in 01/16/14.

Well my lot all went in to shut down this morning!!!

Lol, yes, just by a little. I forgot I set them in the evening and was thinking I'd set them in the morning. So they should be less than a day behind where I thought they were

We just candled and only 3 left of the original 27 we put in 1/19. Twenty-four of those where from a friend and none of the eggs turned out to be fertilized. Her rooster is rather old.

The 3 that are left are our own barn yard ones and they show active life. Unfortunately one has a crack/hole and had some wheeping last week already.That one is still going strong with a piece of duct tape on it.

1/26 we put in 12 bought Marans eggs, 2 silky eggs and 15 of our own eggs. Of the Marans there are 2 questionable and from our own barn yard eggs 1 is questionable but we left them all in for now. the silkie eggs where found in the dirt in the coop area at the farm we bought the Marans eggs. they are for my twin 8 yr old girls and they were cheering when they saw life as those will be their chicks.

We added some more eggs from our own chickens today. More barn yard eggs.

Still NOTHING happening with my eggs, this has never happened before! Arrrrrrgggggghhhhhhh, this is why I prefer to use broodies *sigh*

Over half way done with day 21 here, and still nothing... I am thinking that I will set up another incubator and start my other eggs...

So, I couldn't stand it anymore. My incubator is always on track, so I knew something was wrong. I opened the eggs, they're all dead

I also noticed I forgot to pull either of the vent plugs, so I'm guessing I might've suffocated them. That's the only thing that was different. With the new puppy, I guess I just forgot. Poor chickies.

Oh well, I've got 20 more eggs ready to go in and I won't forget those darn plugs this time

That feels like such a big waste of time, bugger!!
