Day 14 candled 1/2 marans and 1/2 ara eggs under broody are good and all 10 ara in Bator are still going. About 5/10 mArans going ok tossed 2 of remaining 5 out so 8 maran eggs still in Bator

It's a barnyard mix. Right now all I know is that it came from a brown egg & her feathers are black. It's anybody's guess.

LOL I wish! I can't wait for mine to make its way out of the shell! I can't stand the anticipation!

Jaystyles just click you finger in food to show pecking and in water. The little fuzzy will get the hang of it. And give it extra attention it shouldn't be lonely with you.

One has hatched! I think I only have 1 that is scheduled to hatch today, the rest will be tomorrow and Friday!

Here he/she is....I believe its a Black Silkie-- I had 3 bantam eggs in the incubator and it is black and feather footed with black skin just like my black silkie roo/hen.

Do any of you know how long it takes the little chickies to break all the way through the shell when they pip?

My 2 that had started haven't made any progress in 3 hours. Still no hole through, just a crack.

I noticed the start of a pip through the shell at about 3pm and mine just hatched completely about 9pm! So it took 6 hours!

Mine started at about 9:00 am yesterday morning. Not much happened for a few hours. I had to leave for work around 12:30 & still just a little hole & a beak. My husband got home at 3:30 & there was a chick!
