pdsavage, Right on, good for you. What kind of chickens?

SilkieChickenLover, I hope today it the day for you. My fingers are crossed for you.

I went to bed with 11 hatched and 2 pipped. This morning there were 3 new ones hatched and 2 more zipped. This is the best hatch I've ever had. I've usually gotten just about 50% or so with shipped eggs. After hearing the horror stories from some people about trying to hatch silkies, I was hoping I'd get a few babies. I am totally amazed that I'll have at least 16 out of 24 purchased (with a few extras). I only pulled 7 that weren't fertile. I have 8 dozen more eggs in 3 incubators due next Thursday. I bought the extras thinking I might need that many in order to have any chance of getting chicks. I think I might have a few extras.

LOCKDOWN TODAY! They are due to hatch on Monday.... I'm so excited. I have some eggs set back to set later. 1 Ameraucana, and 4 Silkie!

I ended up with 18 chicks out of 23 fertile eggs. I'm leaving the other 5 eggs for another day or two but I've never had any real late hatchers. My hatch rate was 78%. With shipped eggs, I think anything 50% or better is just fine. Obviously, I'm thrilled! I have 3 more bators full of silkie eggs due to hatch next Thursday.

THEY ARE STILL ON THE EGG TURNER AND THE OTHER EGGS ARE NOT READY TIL THURSDAY!
