I have lived in my house for 18 years and have always hated the color of the master bedroom (it’s a gauzy teal
) and have always had the intention of painting, but...life. Anyway, it’s happening now! Holes are being filled, corners retapped, the popcorn is coming off the ceiling! There is only one problem...I don’t know what color I want!
I am drawn to more rustic looking rooms.
I will be putting up a wooden accent wall behind the bed(which is one of those big storage unit beds in honey oak color-because I have the worlds tiniest master closet and therefore need the storage).
The ceiling will be bright white (cuz I have a thing about that)
The bedroom is in the north east corner of the house and is probably the darkest room in the whole house.
The curtains are a navy blue which go well with the bedding-ill be keeping those for now.
For a couple years I was thinking of a nice bright mustardy yellow to brighten the darkness and contrast the blue, but now that I am actually doing this I am nervous that I will get sick of it sooner rather than later, so I started thinking of doing a nice gray...or maybe a blue since there is already blue...or a pretty cream, or brown, or green (Ok not brown, and probably not green). And there are just soooo many shades of each of these colors to chose from. I’m tempted to put a bunch of colors I like into a hat and just pull one out. What colors have you used, any suggestions?
