I'm applying for a scholarship given out by the Horation Alger Association. The scholarships are for kids with low income, and on the application they ask you to write a short piece (100-300 words) "describing your adversity (low income) in detail and tell how it has motivated you to go to college a pursue a degree."
I've finished my piece, but I'm not sure it's what they are looking for. I need someone to read it over and tell me if it feels right to them, and look for any errors I might have missed.
