Anyone want to talk about the new season of Doctor Who?!

I am curious where we are going with the Doctor not just being. . . The Doctor.
Have you noticed? In the Ghost Monument and Rosa, when confronted with people who might have heard of her, she shied away from saying who she was, and in this episode, when confronted with people who DID know who she was, she tried to play it off like she wasn't the same person.
I am wondering if there is going to be a build up where she EPICALLY CLAIMS HER TITLE AND MAKES THE BAD GUYS COWER!!!!!!

A la Matt Smith-- "Hello, I'm The Doctor. Basically, run."

But yes, she is OH so good as The Doctor, and I am sorry to have ever doubted her.
That would be awesome! I always love those bits, but I can see how that might be more Moffat-y and Chibnal might not want to copy that... sort of go a new way. Despite that, I'm still hoping for an, as you said, epic scene where she claims her title. Gives me chills, every time.

Is anyone else worried about how the system in Kerblam! deemed the Doctor fit only for janitorial work?

Also, loved the fez. :love Chibnall is doing a great job at balancing old and new.

Nothing wrong with being a caretaker

:p

Nothing wrong with it, but it's a little disturbing since her friends were all tasked elsewhere and they already had someone in that line of work. Maybe that sonic mine was worse than she thought.
Mmm. I don't think it's anything to worry about. ALL of the jobs were grunt jobs. If anything, being a janitor is more complicated and demanding than wrapping bubble wrap around objects and stuffing them in boxes!

I'll admit, I laughed when Twirly said "Other customers with your vitals purchased blood pressure medication!"
All in all, a good enjoyable episode.
