Anyone want to talk about the new season of Doctor Who?!

I'm a little late.... But, just like three episodes late.. So it's not too bad right?
Let me start with The Tsuranga Conundrum A pregnant man... Not the weirdest thing I've seen on Doctor Who but, it's up there! I thought the Pting was adorable, my dad did not think it was. Getting a plush Pting would make my day! It sort of reminded me of Stitch from Lilo & Stitch.

Next, Demons of the Punjab. I love the historical episodes. I like that we got to see more into the character of Yaz. I don't known how to feel about putting The Doctor, Yaz, Ryan and Graham in the same position as in Rosa. Seeing. Watching. Knowing what was about to happen and unable to do anything. In Rosa it was for the greater good, knowing this would make the world a better place. In Demons of the Punjab if they saved Prem Yaz wouldn't have been born. I really liked this episode.

Finally, Kerblam! I loved how The Doctor got all excited over the Kerblam man. Just like us on earth getting something from the UPS or FedEx man! And the fez!! I was so excited to see the fez! I was kinda wanting her to keep it on the entire episode. I think The Doctor was chosen for janitorial work because that's where the problem was. The system knew Charlie was the problem! She needed to get to the problem as quickly as possible and the system took a direct approach. I like the fact that she mentioned Agatha Christie in 2008’s The Unicorn and the Wasp. And to finish up I am now scared of bubble wrap. You just can't trust anything anymore:gig

Oooh SNAP you're RIGHT. OF COURSE they put the Doctor with Charlie on purpose!
Dang, I obviously need to rewatch the episode!

Last night's episode!
I liked it, but think it would have done better as a two parter. The beginning was strong, then it started to feel rushed, and the conclusion was an info dump and a flurry of action!
I liked Willow a lot, almost wish she had gone with them for a bit! But 3 companions is really enough, 4 would be awkward!
I liked the Doctor's frustration as a woman being sidelined. Relatable, sis!
All in all, a strong episode, but not my favorite of the season. I think that goes to the Demons of the Punjab.

I have @Dona Worry! I watch Doctor Who and the new Charmed on Mondays with my dad. We're the only ones in the family who watch this type of stuff.

The Witchfinders was a pretty good episode in my opinion. It was a good mixture of historical and alien, both Rosa and The Demons of the Punjab focused more on the historical aspect. Not to say I didn't love both of these episodes, because I did, but it was pretty cool to see human possessing alien mud.

I love how much The Doctor name drops. And how she uses modern slang, or depending on how, or when, you look at it old slang. King James was quite the flirt with Ryan wasn't he! I was happy when Ghram put that ridiculous hat on The Doctor. He knew who deserved it. That's why I think he kept the thing the whole time.

Just think about all the people who really died these deaths. Drowned, hanged, burned and who knows what else. All because some over religious people thought the devil was was in anyone who doesn't conform to their views.

We might not hang people for being witches anymore, but some people still think like this. Treating someone like dirt under their feet just because they aren't the same race or gender. There's nothing wrong with religious beliefs if some people stop acting like the entire world other than a church or a Bible is the devil.

Doctor Who needs to continue to address social issues like they've been doing this season.

Yes, I agree. I have also really liked the whole 'Human nature is the real enemy' thing they've had going. They even managed to incorporate it when they had human-possessing war criminal aliens at their disposal!
Becka was almost a sympathetic character, you almost felt sorry for her. . . Then you are starkly reminded she killed Willow's gran because she was afraid she would tattle.
Powerful episode, wish they had had a little more time to work with!

That's what a hollow twisted human does when they are afraid. That's why Hitler wanted mass suicide and still killed himself and his family when that didn't work out.

Yes. . . I thought it was a well done depiction. I love me a complex female villain with believable motives!
Hey @BantyChooks , check in!
Sorry, I've been busy! Loved this episode. I really like how they're doing this season. 10/10, will watch again. And again. And again. Whittaker may or may not be my favourite Doctor now.
