Somehow I ended up keeping at least four girls from my incubation experiment.

Don't know about the youngest yet, no specific noises.

I just got a call I had been hoping for more blue Runner hens since I have so many drakes, and it looks like they have a few hatching with me in mind

I have asked for 8 females, if I get them I will pair some up and sell one each with a drake and keep 5 for myself. this should leave me with a good ratio of drakes and hens. I wont have any blue runner eggs for a while since mine are all juviniles. but soon hopefully.

They are all free ranging now gonna go take some pics

I love my blues! McMurray Hatchery has them.

Be aware, when breeding, that you will not get 100% blues from a blue x blue mating. You'll get roughly 25% black, 25% silver, and 50% blue. Just something to keep in mind if ordering/trading eggs. If you want all blues, you can cross black and silver for a 100% blue hatch. But then you have to keep blacks and silvers on hand! lol

Those are gorgeous blues, by the way. Right now, I have only two. My drake is a really nice specimen, with uniform blue throughout, and stands very tall. My hen has gorgeous "ink spots" bleeding through which, though technically a fault, I think are beautiful.

None of mine have ever had teal wing feathers--I wonder what that means. Anyway, thanks for posting the pics. I'll post some of mine some day... when I get around to it.
