Wow, you guys are getting your pips and zips. I have 6 SLW that are in lockdown, due to hatch on Wed. I'm hoping they will come on Tues..it happens. I have some surgery on Wed. So, this will be my DH first time>>>taking over. Oh boy, ask me if I'm nervous. Ok, I'll just let you know, I'm more nervous over him taking care of them, than I am of having my neck fused! And, I will miss out on seeing the pips, watching the pips, and the zips, and hearing the new baby cry.
Even though I've done this I don't know how many times!
I love the littles!
Could be an interesting night. Rain just started and the wind is blowing pretty big. Hope we do not have a power outage!!! That would be just awful on the close of day 19!!!!

Hang in there my first pip yesterday was at 4pm and that egg still hasn't hatched. It's almost there. He his finishing up zipping. All the other chicks keep knocking him all over the incubator. I have one more that just pipped and one egg I am not sure what is going on with it. You should save yourself and go to bed. Hopefully you'll be surprised in the am. No need to worry yet. Just like everyone told me......give it time.
Now here is my question for the group....I still haven't opened the bator and I have 7 chicks running around, how long can I leave them in there? The earliest I had one hatch was this morning around 6am.

Here are my babies! Ten of them! Blue Australorps, Black Australorps, and Barnevelders. There is such a huge variety of feather colouration in these baby Barnies, from almost all beigey-yellow, to almost all dark brown.
Sooo...... since that hole was made no other progress....and its been 4hrs.....just checked it and I can't see anything through the hole anymore either...nor do hear any noise.....normal? I'm all paranoid of "shrink wrapping" I have read about on here since I can't monitor my humidity.. help a little or leave it?
