Anyone with hatch date Oct 15-25?!? Check out this thread!

We have 22 out here with 10 left. Pulling chicks to put in the brooder this morning. I have two that I'm tempted to assist, one I can clearly see alive and well but making little progress since last night. The other one was the first to pip Wednesday but made zero progress after that, this one may not still be alive but not sure.

My mixes that are due to hatch tomorrow, are starting, I have my green egg hatched. Buff Orpington dad, and mama is a blue/golden EE. Guess what color the baby is? Mostly buff! It does have some black on the head, and looks as though it may have some black on the back, will have to see when it fluffs up. I thought I had 6 in there..only 5. Two more are pipped. This will be interesting to see if the others will pip by tonight..hope so.

And I remembered that there were some red sex link in the hens also. This will be interesting to see as they hatch.

6 pipped out of 31 so far at the end of day 19 one will definitely be out by the end of the night. I can see it's back and little yellow feathers. The other 5 are taking it a little slower. Not due to hatch until Sunday but I guess they didn't get that memo lol.

well it will be the start of day 22 at midnight tonight and still nothing. i put them in at midnight oct 1st is my day off if i started them at midnight on october 1st morning that would put them on day 21 right now wouldn't it i usually put them in at night but decided to put them in early in the morning this time

I now have two chicks also! This one is also a buff. Looks big, could be a daddy buff Orpington, mama, a red sex link. All three others are pipped.

Awesome, glad your chicks are hatching out!

Got home from the state fair and have two more chicks hatched out.

Our Daughters chickens did AWESOME at the state fair: She got Reserve Show Champion with her Black Cochin Large Fowl Pullet and Champion Large Fowl Trio on her Black Cochin Trio and many other placings on her other 17 birds! So proud of all her hard work in incubating most of them as eggs this year and last last year. She did well at caring for them in the snow and the terrible heat this year to keep them in good condition for the fall shows.

She loves her birds so much; every one of them!!
