Anyone with hatch date Oct 15-25?!? Check out this thread!

I do staggered hatches. I have had eggs in the incubator that were a couple of days different. What I have done is I go into lockdown on day 19 instead of 18. That way it it really doesn't matter and my hatches were fine. The 1st set of eggs got one extra day of turning and the 2nd set of eggs one less day, but all turned out ok. This is just what I do.

so I think I'm going to put my one survivor egg from the dropped nest into lock down tomorrow....I didn't mark it but on my calander as 27th but I can't remember if that was morning it was laid or the day I thought I was supposed to count.. anyway...air cell big and looks like chicky is movin around a little at that end...can't see much else...so thinkin lock down for this little guy tomorrow...eeek my first time

Mum- california white (resembles a white leghorn with some black flecks in feathers).
Any guess on what color this may turn up???

We go into lockdown on Sunday with first hatch ever-due Oct 19th. My DD hopes one of ours hatches to replace her hen Gummy Bear that the neighbors dog killed this week. I hope something hatches it is really hard to see anything in them now but there were pretty active movers on Day 11.

Day 14 guys! Im so excited! I candled, and it was almost too dark to see anything!! I did distinctivley see movement though.

Lol.... I tried using the chicken genetics calculator but hard to say with cal white, with grey dad herself...chicken calculator says white if its dominant..ortherwise blue or black .. I'm hoping for a bigger fluffier lookin white leghorn

but guessing game is fun.

i tryed using that to but couldnt really figure anything out. mother being barred and one father blue and the other multicolor haha both fathers have slate legs mother yellow. yellow will prob be dominant becuse of the barred gene lol if they hatch ill post pics. lookinf 4rwd to seeing pics of urs too
