I've got a hatch date of October 17, so I'll join this thread as well as the Oct 10-29 one

I set six Barnevelders and six Australorps in an octagonal Janoel incubator (fan forced, manual turn). I've tossed one clear Barney, but the others all have active little swimmers in them! This will be my first hatch. Fingers crossed, and good luck to everyone else.

I wanted to join you guys. I set eggs on the 26th (late) and the 27th. Lockdown is this Friday the 14th. I have 4 large breeds (could be full blooded orpington or orpington crossed with my phoenix/americauna hens) and I set 10 silkie/frizzle eggs (4 I pulled today due to blood rings). I am hoping to get some full blooded silkie chicks but I can't tell whose eggs are in the incubator. I have two silkie roos (1 I am told is a columbian and the other is a splash) with 2 frizzle hens and 1 buff silkie hen. So, I have 10 eggs that are progressing well. I can't wait to see what hatches! But then I know I'll be counting the days until there good and feathered so I know what is what! Patience!!!! I really do have plenty....normally.

Oh I forgot to share that I have a homemade incubator (large styrofoam cooler) forced air and I am the turner. lol Temp is holding right at 100. I have had two dips (I believe they were brief)....one at 96 and one at 98. I check it all the time so I think that had to do with my wife turning on the ceiling fan on high and the weather has felt so good we had the door open letting in the cool air. We have to be more careful but despite the temp changes I think they are doing well. Good luck to everyone and look forward to seeing everyone's pictures. I will post one soon with my eggs as soon as I can figure out how.

Our hatch date is Oct 19th-we candled last night and are down to ...well see signature below-DD is a little disappointed with few remaining silkies but the silkies and seabrights were shipped so at about 50% we are on target with what I have read on here. On the other hand our RIR roo is obviously getting the job done as all three of our own from red star hens were moving up a storm! It was good to candle on day 11-everything was obvious except one so we will check it again later.

I have one hatch date of the 18th and the others are due between 23rd and 25th.

I'm also on another thread with the later hatch date but I have this one survivor eggs froms s the set on 27th, all the others fell and broke and we in an inch of water when I found them and my broody hen under a unknown leaky spot in the barn. But alas! There is still movement in this one survivor egg and I'm pretty excited. This one is a cross between my CA white and my blue orpington roo...so excited to see what I get...

Daddy and his girlfriends here....but this one egg from white bird...also have eggs from the other two as well and those are due 23rd-25th
