On a not so nice note...I just had the third phone call from the vet ...About Jayden..Sadly he passed away when she tried to wake him after have an anesthetic.

Poor little guy... I was also told the joint was also deformed- so it was more than just a slipped tendon wrong with him.... I will go and collect him after work and take him up to bury him in my little duckie grave yard at my block of land in the country over the weekend.

On another happy note, I splurged on a friend for Pebbles - drove an hour today to pick up a Call duckling for her! It's really cute - I think it's a Blue Mallard Pied!

Well done....What a great hatch you have had...Seeing pics of your babies will sure help cheer me up ( I know I have my own- and I can cuddle them - all night now- But I would still love to see your pics....)

Little Jayden is home now- It was sad to do- but I kissed him when I took him out of the travel box I took him to the vet in- He obviously went very peacefully- He is curled up just like he used to sleep here at home- nuzzled in close to one leg of the ever faithfull ostrich toy.

I now have 18 little ducklings, quickly it going to get crowed in there so when can i move the ducklings and their mother in with the other women and the drake. they are 5 days old and the run is very safe, so what do people think?

They are just gorgeous... Well done. It was a little funny seeing them...I am so used to seeing my own incubator foam type...Seeing them in yours make them even cuter... It must be wonderful to be able to watch all the action through the clear sides...I only get the top view from mine.
