Anyone with me?

Good news that she is still hanging in there at least. Im am so hopeful for you that she will make it. If she is anything like any I have had to help out - she will just pretty much sleep for the next 24 hours or so while the yolk finishes absorbing and she gains some strength from the nutrients it will provide her. She may take a little longer to get active..BUt it still sounds like you are doing everything possible for her.

I want her to hatch even more than any of my own babies !! I always have a soft spot for special little ones like her.

Ahhhh, that is so sweet! LOL, after last night, you're commited now! Thank you. It is good to hear that her sleepiness is normal. I know, the little hurt or sick ones always bring out the mommy thing in me big time. And this being my DD's special little duckling makes it even worse... She sure is going to be a cute little thing. She may even be our first lap duck...

3 are black/white, one is, impossibly, another pure white I think?! Holderread says 2% of anconas are pure white. I'm looking at 4/7 from 2 different flocks. Maybe I oughta call them Stancona Whites

How is Pigeon doing???? Since I cant get home on my lunch break today to check on my eggs..I need some updates from others....

Congrats Toadbriar...Stupid computer at work wont allow me to see your pic... Cant wait to get home to see what they look like...

The same. I re-wet the wash cloth every two hours or so, and keep an eye on her. She hasn't started taking up any more of the yolk yet. I wonder, if for some reason, she did her internal pip before she was ready. She reminds me of a premie. Or it could just be that being shrink wrapped interupted things. Something about her seems peaceful though, and her movement is consistant. She is pretty, I am still hoping. No doubt my first little duckling to hatch is making me work for it. I wish learning curves like this didn't have to involve a living little creature. I may try to get a pic of her next time I re-wrap her.

Toadbriar..They are very cute...While the photo slowly came down the screen I was counting.... 5 !! But then I realised there was a mirror.

Chickboss... I guess it really is just a case of wait and see now..You are doing everything you can. Shrinkwrapping could effect things i guess...The moments needed to hatch promote the absorbtion of the blood in the veins and the yolk...So make not being able to move much has slowed the process somewhat....

I have the first external pip!!!!!!!!!!

the first four thought it was cool but now there are 8 in there (!!!!!) they don't give it a glance

I have one left in there still peeping & rocking. Lost 2 before pip, perfectly formed, no telling why. I can't complain.

She is still attached to the shell by her umbilical cord, and I am hesitant to interfere with that. It all looks dry though. OMG, I just looked and she opened her eyes!!!! I am so happy!!!!!!

Congrats duckyfromoz! How cute that it's talking to you!

And I want more pics of your beautiful babies toadbriar!
