and no, we don't keep our dogs tied out on chains and in runs... but we do let them be dogs for a few hours a day

we plan on breeding Capone and Bebe assuming they pass their OFA testing

I expect that we'll have thick, wrinkly fat puppies and big lazy dogs out of those two!

up in the air on hailey as shes 100 percent game line and extremely driven... I know as careful as I am going to be with potential homes her puppies could be used as fight dogs and I don't want that obviously.

Seeing these pics makes me miss my pits!

We had Gage..he was a rescue at 6 years old, lived to be 12 and then died in his sleep.

Then we had Lily...sad story rescued her at what we thought was 6 weeks old. She and her litter mates were found in a dumpster. Took her to the vet when we got her our vets guess 6 weeks old and malnourished(7lbs). Her next appointment(at supposed 10 weeks of age), everything seemed okay. Her next vet appt was scheduled for 4 weeks later...would have been her last set of boosters. Two weeks after her second shot(guesstimated age of 12 weeks) I noticed her one front leg seemd like it was twisting so I brought her in early. Low and behold she had started getting her adult K9s. The vet said teeth don't lie and this made our poor pitty 6month old and smaller than the average 3month old pit. Her twisted leg the vet figured was caused by Rickets...she must have been kept in a very dark place with no sun exposure and horrible nutrition before she was dumped in the dumpster.

She was put down at the age of 3 at a huge weight of 26lbs and horrible debilitating arthritis due to her deformed legs, caused by improper nutrition(or terrible neglect, depending on how you look at it) for the first 6 months of her life.

She had finished top of her class in 3 levels of obedience by that point.

She was a great dog and unfortunately the last pit I'll be able to own while living in Ontario.

RIP Lily&Violet(Violet was a littermate who while smaller, at 22lbs met the same fate as Lily a couple of years after her)

I had a pit before we moved. She was the BEST dog we EVER EVER had. We had to put her down due to her health issues right before we moved. We moved 6 years ago and have never replaced her and I don't think we ever could. She was our BABY for 8 years.

Those are some very good looking pits ! ! !

Here's my mother's spoiled, rotten little turd...Bishop. We got him as a puppy after she lost her Staffy/Pit mix almost 2 years ago...you can see the Bishop-looking shape on his butt, lol.
