Anyone with Pitties?

Here is our other love our life Skye....She is a Red and Blue nose got her fixed which was the best thing we could have done she really likes other dogs if they are polite to her but after getting her fixed she LOVES everyone....she doesn't like other cats except our likes to chase the chickens when our Boston instigates it. We have 3 dogs had to rehome our Min pin biggest terrorist of them all....Our boston and pit are BFF's the most agressive of our dogs is our 2 lb teacup chihuahua Chief. Our pittie is also the peacekeeper. My husband said if we had more space he'd get another one I'm a true pitlover now best dogs EVER.

Why thank you I adore her she is the sweetest goofiest dog ever. Today it was pouring and my dogs big outdoor kennel is covered about 1/2 way with a tarp because its been so hot. She laid under the tarped part to keep dry and my oh so smart boston sat by the kennel door shaking cuz he was all wet...go figure....Skye loves everyone tho so much she'd jump the fence and take off with strangers

This is our pitbull-mix, Bruno. He was left tied to a bush down in a ravine along a state highway. Some aquaintances of my hubby's co-worker saw him, picked him up and took him to the shop my hubby worked at at the time----the guys never would have even seen him down in the ravine, except for the fact that they were in a huge dump truck! This is the only animal my hubby ever brought home, so I had to let him keep him! He was a wonderful family dog for 14 years, when we had to have him put down due to cancer.

And this is one of our dogs we have now. Andre` we found along a highway down in Kentucky last summer. He was only around 6 weeks old, full of worms, bones sticking out everywhere, and a terrible case of mange----so much missing hair! We were going to re-habilitate him and find him a home, but after a couple of weeks, I told my hubby that we now had so much money invested in Andre`, that there was no way I was giving him to someone! Yeah, it was all about the money.

Oh, my vet said Andre` is a boxer-mix-----I can just guess what he is mixed with!!

Hi everyone!

I think someone is baiting my dog, Max. He is part pit/boxer. Tonight, I found 2 raw bone-in chicken breasts in the yard, that he was carrying around in his mouth. I only buy boneless, skinless chicken breasts, so I couldn't for the life of me figure out where he got these. My DS found another one by the back fence that Max had partially unburied. We have a 6 foot chainlink fence around our property and he is confined to the back yard, which has desert behind us and a neighbor's yard on either side of us. My neighbors both have dogs, and know not to give dogs chicken bones.

A few months ago, my neighbor had a truckload of men pull in his driveway, and they were looking in our backyards. My neighbor has 2 pitties and we have Max.

I threw the chicken breasts away. They were not that old because the meat was still reddish under the skin, and they did not smell to high heaven.

My theories are:

Max is being looked at to see if he could be a fighting dog.
Someone is trying to get max occupied with the chicken in order to come into the yard. Maybe they are looking for chicken dinner, or some eggs? Or to check out the house?

My oldest DS is here some of the day, so he will be keeping an eye out. My DH pulled out the rifle.

Not sure what is going on here, any ideas?

Thanks,
Angie

I don't think the feeding of raw meat has anything to do with testing him for fighting, more likely that someone is trying to gain access to the dog or your yard... I'd be worried that someone may try to poison him just because of his breed.

you can look around or order one of those security cameras... mount it on a post in your yard, where it is VERY visible. You don't even have to hook it up- just seeing it is a deterrent. We have 4 trained on the kennels and suddenly the traffic turning around in the driveway stopped.

No Pitties at my house but I did run into Shorty and Hercules ("Pit Boss") at the airport last week! Not a big name star but I respect what he's doing and he loves his dogs, which makes him a star in my eyes.
