Anyone with Pitties?

ScaredOfShadows: You're right... that doesn't look anything like a pit bull at all. I'd go more along the lines of a Chow Chow.

AmberH - not a lick of purple in her mouth - pure pink - so no chow in here every 1/2 1/4 1/8 chow i've ever seen had some kind of purple in their mouth. besides I dont see chow in her. When she was a pup she looked like a pit! When she filled out? not a sign of it - lol. but like I said i know she's 1/2 pit - mama dog was one.

She has the personality down to a tee though!

I had a huge pit/mastiff mix (was supposed to have been a pit when I adopted him as a pup) but by the time Jax was 8 months old he weighed 90 lbs and looked just like a pit just a huge tall goofy one on steroids - lol. He was a great friendly harmless giant - but he did pass away had to put him down @ 15 months and 114 lbs - he had bone cancer essentially and it wasn't fixable

We call Naomi - the Dingo.

since I decided one day she could pass more for a fat dingo than a pit mix any day of the week. - lol.

We have rescued so many Pits over the years, never had a bad apple in the group. We have had as many as 11 rescues outside, sometimes were lucky and find them a forever home.

Right now we have Buttermilk, she is deaf and blind in one eye. Bad breeding we suspect, very loving, my geese and ducks sleep with her every night.

John Cena, he is a big ole ball of energy and will chase a chicken in a heartbeat, just chase, not eat. And he guards the goats.

Bear is a GP and he guards everybody.

But here is my DH pride and joy, Mercury. He is a little over a year old, lives in the house, can jump any fence, loves the water, his BF is our pot belly pig Jenny.

Here is my cousin's APBT. I am currently living with her and he is 98 pounds of pure poodle! I love this dog, he's nothing but muscle.
The only reason someone should be cautious of him is because he would lick you to death, quite literally.

He has a scratch on his nose because of my cousin's demon cat.

Hi everyone,

We haven't had much rain lately, even though we are in our monsoon season.

Well, yesterday, I was out watering the chickens and it was lightly raining, (for all of 3 min, I might add) and out of the corner of my eye, I see Max, my pit, run past the pen. Then I see him coming back jumping around (kinda like Tigger). Then he comes jumping past again. Apparently, he was having a blast playing in the rain. Too bad it only lasted a couple of minutes, but it was so funny to see.

That goes to show ya how much we need rain.

Angie
