2:
I need help she is lethargic. She is only moving around and standing if I encourage her but she won't walk.
She is drinking water and drinking sugar water I have and she is drinking a mash I made for her. She is just so abnormally tired and doesn't move around much and seems to sleep.
She is pooing okay and normal.
The other chick she is brooding with is thriving.
Both a week and a half old now
3.TODAY!
I'm afraid it might be Cocci so I took her to the vet today.
He said her Gullet is full but she looks weak w wings hanging a bit.
(Ive been bringing mash up to her and she eats and drinks water also)
Weighed her and for 10 days old she is underweight for a bantam chick.
I told him about the other chick (Think he is a Roo by his attitude and stance and size he is 2 times bigger) and how he bullies her a bit and prevents eating by pushing her away at times.
They are from the same group of hatchlings.
He told me that sometimes they need 2 hens to be with to let up on the one while he is pecking/dominating on the other.
So he asked me to separate them until he sees her again.
I told him her poo was normal and brought in a sample for fecal testing.
Results are in tomorrow, but in the mean time he gave me immune system drops for every 12 hours and some rescue feed 3 times a day with syringe.
Im also keeping sugar water close by and have moved the lamp a few times and she seems to stop peeping at about 92 degrees on thermometer.
I have an appointment scheduled for next Monday.
Ill update about the test results tomorrow!
MY QUESTION IS:
Is there anything else I can do for her to make her more comfortable or any remedies I can try?
Please let me know what you think.
