I'm not trhilled or anything....

I wish I knew.... I could not stop at one pair..I had to get more.

How absolutely gorgeous Goslings are.

How well they "mowed" the lawn

How much I would miss them when I could no longer keep geese.

Wish I was getting some next spring...... Lucky you.....

HOW LOUD THEY CAN BE !!!! LOL I thought my peafowl could be loud........... geesh. But did that stop me from having 7 Sebbies, a pair of Roman Tufted, and a mix Gander.......... or just hatch out some of there babies.......... or buy swans.............. NO.....

Also they like to get into everything... they always have those busy beaks rapped around something............ and are highly attracted to plastic bags and tarps ..... ?

they like to get into everything

I keep getting surprised at how CURIOUS waterfowl can be. It cracks me up! Nosy little turds!

Second that! I'm hoping to get some french toulouse goslings this spring. I had a hard time with ducks- they were soooo messy and hard to catch at night, but I have a better set up now. The toulouse are supposed to be pretty docile too.

My garden is already mostly chicken-proof, so we shouldn't have a problem there.

I wish I had known that it was like aquiring a friendly pack of large dogs! They follow us everywhere and get into everything--and I do mean everywhere and everything! They march up from the back acreage and start knocking on the front door if we're late to go out and feed in the morning. They follow me around the entire property as I feed and care for the other animals. They stand outside the chicken run and coop, crying pitifully because I won't let them inside with me.

Last friday we had 12 inches of snow (in TEXAS if you can believe it!). My kids were thrilled and had a big snowball fight complete with forts. I heard the youngest yelling. It seems that Wheezie was stealing snowballs from his bucket.

She'd grab one and break it apart with her beak.

Yup. I thought I was just getting some birds. Now I can't imagine the property without them. I Love having geese.

How annoying they were and that the male was going to try to bite me everytime I enter the pen. They are also very loud, beat up my ducks on occasion, chase the kids......the list goes on...I do love them though and they are not going anywhere. I feel like I have a duty to keep them around since I bought and raised them.
