So if I had a stainless steel waterer or just a stainless steel bowl strictly for ACV, that would be okay ?

I don't know, I''m not a scientist. But something tells me there is a difference between an acidic liquid sitting for long periods in metal vs acidic liquid just flowing through (as in the nipples). I would do some research on storing acidic liquids in stainless steel just to be sure.

I use it for my horses too! It didn't help much with the flies this year though, I also used it in a homemade fly spray which I will be using on the chickens if they get bad- my chickens better eat the flies! My horses were covered this year- so bad I even spent $14 on a pesticide powder, $11 on a deodorant stick for flies - all with my homemade spray and still had a fly problem! In the middle of the pasture! And I bathed the horses once every week or so! So dont expect it to work miracles on the flies but it certainly helps! Oh and I put it in their water. Or you can use white vinegar in the water for horses. I'm new to chickens so I dont know if its ok, but I'm sure it is.

the cookie tin waterers work well with the plastic waterers. There is a thread on them just google cookie tin waterers

Thanks for the helpful info. Going to pick some up & start right away. Was at my feed store & they didn't carry it. I saw on here before that you can not use the ACV from the food market that it must be from a feed store, but you can get at GNC???
