April 1st. setting.. *hatching*| need a buddy.

Say 8 for me. Tossed one blood ring egg. It had a clear blood ring, perfect circle. It looked like it had a embro started but I did not open it.

I can see the body moving and the big eye looking at me!

Day 9!!!!!

This little guy/gal was dancing in her shell!!!!

This one was also moving.

What a difference a flashlight makes!!!! I have life in at least 6 eggs. The rest I can see a mass or the actual Eye but nothig else and no movement so I think maybe they failed to mature. They are all located at the fat end of the egg with no movement. Also, they ones with movement....The baby chick appears to be twice as large. I did have one egg that was deff off. The egg was really heavy on one end and hollow on the other. It was a good call. I cracked it open and they egg was almost solid inside with no baby.


Oh, In case anyone asks I bought a "TaskForce" LED flashlight with 150 Lumens. From Lowes. Its amazing!

I use a regular small size mag light. Its amazing watching them move around. I hate it when the eggs quite like that, guess it's the way nature works. At least you have 6 moving!

Of my 9 welsummers eggs that show progress, 7 of them for sure are showing movement. I marked them.

Thats a great idea. I am going to mark mine tonight when I candle. I have been seperating them in the incubator.

So my father in law used to hacth out Turkey eggs and today he gave me not one, but two Hova-Bators!!! For free of course. They are a little dirty from being in the basement but work. So excited because now I can do a staggered hatch and use my LG as a brooder!!!

Awesome! I got those 2 for $20 each last week too. I got them cleaned up, now just have to get a couple more thermostats to regulate them! Then time to load em up!!!! LOL my husband is going to kill me!

Head count day 10-

I have 10 eggs with Dancing babies inside, 5 (?) because I see something, but no movememnt so I figure they stopped developing since they are half the size, 1 That had nothing and when I cracked it open it was like a regular kitch egg and 1 with eyes but no movemement. I started with 26 and I am down to 16 eggs. Very excited!!!!

I am sooo ticked, but the only person I can be mad at is myself. I was distracted by my kids when I opened the bater up and it slipped down and cracked an egg. Wish it would have been one that has shown no development, but it didn't. It had to be one that has shown movement etc.

I am soo ticked at myself that I could almost swear!!!
