Age: 1 day post-hatching!
This sweet fluffy angel has stolen my heart already. S/he is extremely cuddly and would spend the day in my hand or under my chin, cuddled in my hair, if I let them. When I place my hand in the brooder, s/he comes running right away, and lays down to snuggle in the palm of my hand. This baby is the gentlest, quietest and most sweetest cutest thing in the whole wide world! Yes, I am a biased mama...but I love him/her so much already and can't help but gush! <3 <3 <3

Lacey is our head hen. She is the sweetest thing. Loves to come see what you are doing and have a chat with you. Never mean but is respected completely by the whole flock, including our rooster. He even defers to her. The two of them will sometimes split the group and half will range with her and the other half with him. He knows he can trust her to always look out for them and keep them in line. At night she will post herself closest to the door, slightly away from the group. As if she is on guard and making sure nothing sneaks by. We'd be lost without our beautiful Lacey and she is certainly a one of a kind.

This kid is skittish when you first meet her. Don't be fooled though, she is super social and will literally roll over for a good belly rub. She never shuts up and that is one thing I love about her. She practically flew out of the egg- we had to trim her wing feathers because she is insanely good at flying! Her best buddy is actually a big rabbit right now. She started sitting on top of the rabbit as a young pullet and it was very endearing. The rabbit loves her too, grooming her and asking to be groomed. Karat doesn't understand rabbit language very well though. More liable to poop on her then groom her. Anyhow, she is a very dear bird and I could talk about her all day, but there are other entries to read too!

Thanks! I have a son of his, 5months old. Waiting for him to get his tail and saddle in!

Batman should get some more length in his tail/saddle over the next year if I can keep him from breaking them.

She hasn’t started laying yet, but she does like sitting in the nesting box every now and then. Her best friend is a GSL named Mattie.
