April 2020 Hatch-A-Long! All are welcome!

Pics
Oops doubled a picture and forgot this one. 😍😍 20200412_121129.jpg

My two lonesome ameraucana eggs have both pipped! I wasn't dreaming when I heard little chirps last night.

Cross your fingers they both hatch successfully. Every chick needs a buddy and I don't want to be visiting Atwood's anytime soon.

My picture's not very clear so I marked the pips.

Adorbs! How are they doing now?

I’ve had 5 Ameracaunas hatch and 2 silkies. I have 4 eggs that haven’t done anything. I think they are DIS. I’m going to give them until tomorrow.

My broody eggs are doing great. Our Silkie, Betty White, decided she should be broody also. I separated the eggs under our Ameracauna hen, I left her with 3 EE eggs and gave Betty the 4 silkie eggs. If I remember correctly, they should hatch around 4/18. I’ll have to verify that.

Cute broodies!!

I candled tonight (day 9) and I saw four that for sure had veins, and a cute little chick shaped blob in one dancing around 😍 I attached the pics below! There are for sure 1 maybe 2 that look like what they did on the 1st day - just a floating yolk. But no smells so I haven’t pulled anything.

Good morning all! Well 6 in total this morning! Still a lot to hatch many are pipped.
I was being lazy and didn’t want to put the liner and now I’m kicking myself because one has really bad splay leg and two others have it a bit. Maybe it’s because I didn’t have the shelf liner in.

Anyway I put vet wrap on the legs and I hope I did it right. Should I change it every day! Wow it is hard to get it on their kicking little legs.. I put shelf liner in real quick now I sprayed while I did it to keep humidity up for the pipped babies
