How is this little one doing? Agree with @abpatchy to try and clean it. I am also not sure what it is in your photo. Does it appear to be open skin? Doubtful anything contagious, only concern would be the other chicks may pick on it.Any thoughts? This is the chick who I feel barely made it. Has a goopy spot above the vent near the tail. Still covered in some sticky stuff. Quiet but feisty with others and noisy alone, of course.
currently separated, but I’ve had one or two comfort chicks in here that have been put back into the brooder with the rest. And I’m now realizing I may be introducing something to everyone else.....![]()

I really can't see what you are talking about. Have you tried washing it off? It could just be some egg white that was left over in the egg. If it is not sick or weak I would just put it with the others.
