So he was doing a whole lot better last night and into this morning. So in with the rest he goes.
Normal poop? Or cause for concern?

the button near the vent has dropped off, and looks normal now. The bath must have been enough to keep things going well.

i have become the father of ducks, a day early no less heheh .. theres 4 more to go i think .. check out the shell in the middle top, one came out and shut the lid back behind him that ones empty .. cute little fellers ..

Day 18 & Well ...just had a schedualed power outage that my husband didn’t tell me about. I put blankets over my incubator in hopes of keeping heat in.

Power was out 10:30am-3:30pm

Thermometer read 94 degrees & humidity 55% when power started up again. I guess it’s a good thing duck eggs benefit from a cooling down period.

I honestly do not think my hatch is a bust now but I still have that anxious feeling.

Hatch seems to go well. There are so many chicks. I am not able to see the remaining eggs

MY stc went off for unknown reasons, yet to figure out. Incubator was without heat 6 to maybe 12 hours. 2 days before lockdown. Out of about 20 plymouth rock eggs im at about 16 chicks. The bantam Silkie eggs so far have 1 out of 14, but I have had trouble hatching the bantams

I still have 7 fridge store eggs on day 19. 5 look great, 2 may be day laters.

The eggs ordered from NC got their money, so I should have eggs sent soon. Yeah- NN/frizzles next week!

I also ordered from Foxfire- (because I thought my NN money was lost in the mail.) Foxfire potluck will be sent next week.

Talk about chicken math. Sent both $40 we will see how many each will send.

22 chicks. 2 didn't make it out off the egg. 4 non pippeped eggs. Hatchrate so far 78.57 %

So, I got a good flashlight for candling. It’s day 11. Out of 38 eggs, 28 are developing and surprisingly active inside that shell. It’s the first time I’ve had a really good candling experience. I was amazed at the movement and even saw a couple beaks! I left some of the ones in question just in case. I only pulled 2 that was a definite blood ring and a super clear egg.
