Lockdown starts today for us - they should hatch on Saturday but my last hatch was a day earlier. I lowered the temperature slightly so they might hatch on time but who knows? We'll see whether it was wise or not.

Good luck with your hatch. How much lower did you set the temp? It's day 21 for me and my hatch was about half complete this morning when I left the house. I feel less anxious when I just let the hens handle it.

About 0.2 degree lower and about 0.3 lower the for the last 3 days (celcius)

Woke up with an external pip
I'm very nervous. It's my first duck hatching

How’s it going? And quackers yet? I have my first ever duck eggs incubating now and I’m very nervous! Remind me what kind of ducks your have in there?

my one chick that was limp and I got it feeling better with egg yolk, is failing again. boo.

I have her on my chest, still giving yolk. If she is going to die, at least she will know she was loved.

The above is what I have, and a girl friend took 3 yesterday.

This is my last hatch too and I’ve only done three since Feb. I need a break too although I will miss the hatch alongs!

My two eggs that made it from the 12 shipped are on day 21. One external pip and one internal pip. Lots of egg cheeps and movement. I thought both were orps but the writing on one to identify was weird and I’m pretty sure it’s a lavender Cochin! Should have realized earlier but these last few months my brain is not working at 100%!

One of the reasons I was going to quit hatching was I was afraid it might get in the way of travel, but we are not going to travel for a while, so I have eggs in again...

The little chick did die.

Good news though. I had a guy that wanted a rooster. He got one of my 3 month old roosters, (A steel egger/EE) Dark gray very handsome.

I did lose 3 to ravens Recently.
