This one pipping on the wrong end

Is there a wrong way for them to pip? if so what do I do if it that ever happens to me?

They’re supposed to pip into the air cell. If they don’t it’s harder for them to turn and zip, and they might exhaust their oxygen and energy before hatching.

Sally Sunshine (I think) has a very good guide on when and how to assist hatching in the main pinned topics.

Lockdown day for me!

127 out of 148 made it to lockdown.

I have 3 days to go and the incubator goes into lockdown tomorrow morning. I set 18 eggs and have 9 going into lockdown. The other 9 eggs were not fertilized. I am currently trying out the Brinsea 24 Advanced. It is running well.

Looks like we've ended up with 37 chicks this round. Found one that had dried in its shell (looked like a grey puff ball had exploded inside the egg), but within a couple hours of me helping it out, it was difficult to tell it apart from it's hatchmates.
Though after losing power for a day when the tornado went through, I'm feeling blessed to have any.
