But where would I PUT what I buy?????

See, that's the evilness. You only need a brooder if you get chicks, and that can be a cardboard box and a light (which you can buy at tsc). So, you don't really need anything! I actually used a huge rubbermaid tub with a window screen on top. Worked like a charm

hi gypsie, that is a partridge silkie. from what I can see, alot of chicks start like that. I have had alot of mixed chicks that look similar. they always turn out to be some type of laced chick. always something pretty. means you have to wait and see.

well lets see,
is there a small shed?
a garage? a dog house?

get the idea lol.
you would be amazed at some of the make shift coops people come up with , some are absolutely stunning.
1 Chick Magnets Husband is making some of the most awesome hen houses I ave seen in a long time. there are also things called chicken tractors. ( I think he has plans to make some of those also)
and if ALL ELSE fails there are rabbit cages, with drop pans LOL.
be creative you will surprise yourself.

we will have a chicken tractor with us. as well as nest boxes. we will also have a coop on display at tsc before the swap.
if you buy chicks you can start with a rubbermaid bucket in the house.
