I use this mix for lots of eggs, meat , and broodies and they hold up really well in the heat. These birds will be very good sized.

The games lay a smallish egg, but they are not small birds. I've also hatched out a cocoa brown from this mix. Others have gotten a few of the browns. They do feather in more brown on the black chicks and they are just beautiful.

They sell really well for me. They've been my source for feed costs lately, so I hatch out as many as I can. Very sweet birds although they like attention but only a few like to be actually carried around.

They should lay a much larger medium brown egg and the roos will be a good size for processing young if not used for breeding. I'm working on building up about 24 pullets for myself while still being able to sell a few for the feed costs. And so far everyone really likes these.

BTW I do help chicks out too. shhhhhhhhh

I probably would have kept those if I had known they were mixes of those breeds.

oh well, can't keep them all. This chick that just hatched out has bum feet

hopefully they will straighten out.

I have some of these in my incubator right now!

I haven't candled yet. They are only on day 5.

Soulsongs eggs are set to hatch tommorow ended up with 2 silkies and 1 RIR for lock down

. I believe some of my eggs from evermoreranch are set for lockdown at the end of the week. Getting excited

Well I had 2 hatch out of the Barred Rocks thanks Japgirl and my other shipment of blue eggs were all broken and how are the eggs I sent out? I'm thinking that the Blue Coppers and Golden Cuckoos should be close to hatching? I sure hope some hatch for you and just for everybody's information I am a female with a unisex name I guess......What about the turkey eggs? I hope some of those hatched.....I'll be back for the June swap just had lots of my own projects to hatch and I'm going on a trail ride the end of the month...hopefully with my horse maybe not but it's an all girl event so we'll have fun no matter what......

The 2 BR just hatched yesterday I believe it was, one doesn't look like it's doing too well but I'll keep hoping

loprettaerin I have 2 eggs that made it to lock down one of the eggs is peeping.
Only one of elieugene6 eggs made it to lockdown,had 3 from both elieugene6
and 3 from rebelINny but some how the cord going to the room got unpluged over night.

I woke up to two little babies this am, and one more who trying hard to kick off the shell. I don't know if they are Golden Cuckoos or the Blue Coppers....I'll have to wait until the end of the hatch to tell what is what. I am hoping and praying I get a bunch more!

I will give you an update (with a picture of course!) after the hatch is over.
