Will be watching this closely as I too have liability concerns.
Have 1 adult (age unk--rehomed to us) EE Arielle.
Have 22 8 week pullets yet to lay; and 3 roosters:
Raptor blk sexlink
Henry (hoping for a pullet, then she'll be Henrietta) blk sexlink
Whity unk-the freebie from MM
3 blk sex link
5 blk astrolorp
5 RIR
5 speckled sussex
4 SLW
and 4 BO at 2weeks
and 10 EE on order
and 10-12 buckeye on order
All adds up to way too many eggs. But love the girls. Names are difficult for me to remember, heck, I can't even remember my beloved horses names half the time. Chick-chick works for my girls when I sit and visit with them. When I call "chick-chick", Arielle answers back if she's close enough to hear--lots of places and farm animals to go visit!
I'm game! I have 50 hens that meet this criteria. I collect about 14 doz per week, but 6 doz. are "spoken for". My hens started out as BO, California Grey and EE's. I now have a mixture of everything, as I hatched my own eggs last year. My chickens live in a 3rd of our barn and free range almost daily. I have a beautiful egg basket.

I have 8 RIRs that have only been laying for a month or so. I'm averaging 45 eggs per week & that's way too many for just DH & I. So I can do about 2 doz. per week.
I would totally be interested! My chickies won't be at point of lay for months, but when they are I know I will have an excess!
I'll have 6 hens (more if the fiancee lets me! XD) and they have a coop and run and also I plan on free-ranging them in my backyard. I am still working on names for them, but I did just get them from the feed store.
I might even qualify for the colorful egg baket, since I have:
BCM
Cuckoo Maran
Olive eggers F1 and F2
sizzled leghorn
Ameraucana
Just putting my name out there - I'll be ready SOON! :3
