Every year I know what he's doing, ... even though some years if the gadget had actually existed, I would have purchase one... this year I fell for it.

I think a medal or trophy or something should be awarded. You got those of us that usually don't get gotten.
Well played, niffty, well played.
Well, Cyn, even way back, when you posted up that shot of your girls hunkered down, catching the rays, there on the steps of your back porch, you were an inspiration. Our chooks, up until that time, were pretty much prisoners in their run but for very brief and infrequent service on the "grasshopper gang". Cass called me over to look at that pic and, soon thereafter, we established a more extensive program of "work release". So, your hand revealed & appreciated even then (should be a "peerless" banner added to your others).Oh, good, pressure's off. I looked for the annual April 1st prank and saw it right away. HA, term limits? No way Rob would be crazy enough to get rid of great moderators who want to do the job! Since no one is leaving, I may continue my pursuits at home and just enjoy BYC as a lowly member. Ivan3, John, this sometimes is a "roost too far", as you put it. It does take a special temperament to do this job and it's a learning experience throughout every day, and, in my opinion, changes you as a person overall if you immerse yourself in it over a period of years.
Those are overrated anyway. And so much for a clean house.
So so true. Those are overrated anyway.

Well, you sweet thing, so happy to inspire you to start your own "work release program"! Mine love their free time, that's for sure. I just love your first picture! Wish we had grass like that, but, alas, living on a rocky, root-ridden mountain, not an easy thing to cultivate.
I think this year's joke worked quite well because it was so subtle and ultimately, quite believable. Good one, Rob!
