APRIL FOOLS HATCH, give or take a day.....who's in ??

If you are hatching at school it's best to set on tuesday or wednesday. that way if they are early or late the kids can watch them. I have hatched at school before. 325 kids got to hold their first chick. They loved it. Have fun with them

My temp was holding at 100.9 when I had it running to warm it up. After setting the eggs it is now holding at 98.0. Will that be ok? Does 1.5 degrees from the normal really matter? My humidity is at 40.

I'm in...I have 9 Ameracauna that I'm setting today...

I set 33 eggs,

the first 11- 1 roo x 3 hen
2nd 11- 1 roo x 4 hens
3rd 11- 1 roo x 25 hens = I wanted more mass in the bator...

I could add these guys in, do have the room...

I'm so glad to see a mix of pros and beginners hatching at the same time.

I know I will have tons of questions closer to lockup day......
I will take one day at a time for now.

Have to master the art of candling first in .......8 days, yeesh, I feel like they've been in the incubator for much longer. It's only been two.........

I came home this morning on my first break, glad i did , my humidity had dropped to 22%, yikes, luckily it was only like that for about 3 hours, so I added water real quick, and it's now sitting at 46%.
My temp is holding at 99.3 , finally, after I accidentally moved the temp. gauge too far and it jumped to over 100. I don't dare muck with it again. Will 99.3 degrees be okay ???
