I'm getting a Partridge Silkie on Tues., so I can enjoy seeing that natural process. I didn't mind that she was a few years old, in hopes that she already has several hatches under her belt & will welcome doing a few more. Never had a Silkie before, they look very sweet & persistant.

Im in too.. Just recieved some MF D 'Uccles and MF Cochins! Cant wait.. this is my first shot at shipped eggs and go figured I (in Georgia) would try getting eggs from California!! haha! They went in this morning and im already excited to candle hahahahaha! I also added a few of our sizzles eggs since they have been laying about a month now!

Count me in, I haven't been here for a long time, but I have my Hovabator genesis coming any day now, and we're going for blue-egg laying Americaunas (we have hens and a roo - only collecting the blue eggs), and we are going for blue cochin/americauna mixes as well so collecting the blue cochin's eggs (we only have one roo - the americauna, so he is fertilizing them all...)

We started collecting our eggs today.... our first experience, we'll see how it goes.

I'm in too. Not using the incubator this time though. I've got 2 hens in action, or not so much action, more like sitting.

The 1st is a BBR EOG named dottie. She is bred to my favorite rooster also BBR. She has 12 of her own eggs, and I snuck 4 grey Oeg eggs from a hen that I sold under her. She's due on the 4th.

The other is a grey OEG(silver duckwing) She was mated with the Rooster I sold along with the hen, and has 12 of her own eggs, and 6 from another BBR hen that just lays all the time but will not sit. She is due on the 6th.

I have the BBR hen babysitting the grey chicks and vice versa so that I can tell the chicks apart when they hatch. I need to know who is who for future breeding. She is due on the 6th.

Hopefully it works. I have never had a broody hatch another hens eggs before. I was shocked that I managed to get the eggs under them, usually my OEG hens are down right nasty about protecting their nests!!
